0 13

The EACEA (Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency) has published results for the Erasmus+ Sport 2020 call.

We are delighted to announce that the EHF has received notification of three collaborative partnerships that will begin from January 2021 with the EHF as the lead project coordinator on one project and partner of two more.

The projects, all aim to develop and promote hockey with and across our Member Associations.

Marijke Fleuren, President of the EHF said: “From the start of my tenure in 2011, one of EHF’s goals, especially driven by Jorge Alcover (past Vice president and Member of Honour of the EHF)  was to strengthen our connections, knowledge and mutual trust with the EU and its Agencies, to ensure that the EHF would be well placed to start to working together with the EU so that we could consolidate and grow our development and educations programmes.

Our Education and Development Manager, Tom Pedersen Smith has expertly used his time and resources to ensure that the development and education work of the EHF could be partly funded by the EU and in doing so has set hockey on a  very stable course to deliver top-class new projects that will be of benefit to our Member Associations. We are, also on behalf of our NAs, extremely grateful to him.

I would also like to congratulate Gino Schilders, President of the Czech Republic Hockey Federation. He is the leader of the project to Aspire and Inspire Youth Leadership, that has also been successful. Well done Gino and partners!”

“A total number of 1142 applications were received this year under Erasmus+ Sport by the European Commission and 315 projects have been selected for funding. I feel very grateful, that the EACEA has shown confidence in the EHF and our partners to deliver three new projects, which will enable the EHF to provide further support to our member nations.”

The projects are listed below, details to follow in due course:
