AEHC Covid Pitch Usage Rules
Who Can Use The use of the pitch is open to paid up club members and their guests. A representative of the Club must be present at all times during the pitch use, this is you the member and you are responsible for your guest. In the case of junior players (i.e. those children in the U14 squads and below) they must be supervised by a parent at all times. The pitch will be divided into 4 sections with a goal in each. Use of each section is restricted by a maximum of 2 households being involved. e.g. 2 people from 2 different households, e.g. All members of a family from a single household, e.g. 2 people from the same household with one other person from another household. There is no charge for usage by members. If guests are using the pitch, we would appreciate a voluntary contribution to the club channelled via the member and an electronic bank transfer to AEHC. Access The pitch will available 10am till 8.00pm every day (last usage starting at 7.00pm). Outside of these times, the pitch will be locked. We are not operating a formal booking system, we are trusting you to be flexible and to think of and be considerate of others. Having said this you should work to usage in hour slots, starting on the hour, and then only use the pitch for 30 to 45 minutes of the hour allowing time for safe crossover of and between users, and reducing /making acceptable any waiting time. We need to record who has been on/using the pitch so a sheet will be left in the dug outs. Please ensure you complete the details of your usage (accurately and legibly and using your own pen) - this is key tool in case of any issues and if we need to do any ‘track and trace’ activity/comms to users. Entry and exit from the pitch will be via the normal gates. If there is no one else on the pitch, waiting to use etc when you finish please ensure you close the gates (both pitch and road) but there is no need to lock them - a key holder will attend in the morning and evening to unlock and lock. If you are bringing your car to The Edge, please try and park at least 1 car away from other cars. The shed will be locked so there will be no toilet facilities even if you are a key holder! On the Pitch Use your own stick and ball(s). There will be cones out in each section which you can use. Please move these around using your stick. All other equipment (including club balls) will be locked away. Do not pick up stray balls from other users (hit them back) and please try to avoid touching other equipment e.g. goals. Please do not reconfigure the pitch and please keep the pads on the goals at all times (this a pitch usage planning permission requirement). There will be no club first aid available as we cannot control usage/who’s been in the bag etc. Any provision of first aid is your responsibility. Please make sure that you remove all your equipment and any rubbish at the end of your session. Covid Safety Do not use the pitch if you, or a member of your household has symptoms of coronavirus, however mild - observe government advice. Observe social distancing rules at all times including whilst waiting. When practicing players must keep 2 stick lengths apart. Wash your hands at home before and after using the outdoor facilities. Bring your own hand sanitiser and use where possible. Do not touch your face. If anyone wants to book a private coaching session(s) please email Amanda Partington at aehc.coaching@gmail.com to arrange this. Amanda will manage the Coach allocation and also communicate to everyone the unavailability of the pitch/a section of the pitch at the relevant time(s) of the day. The coaches available will be Amanda, Sean, Stefan and Kelly. If at any point you need to speak to anyone about the use of the pitch i.e. feeling at risk, how the pitch has been left, other issues, etc. please contact Amanda Partington or Paul Buckingham in the first instance.
