National League 1
This is it – the final match of the regular season. Hillhead go into this weekends match against Grove Menzieshill with everything to play for. A win for the Hornets could see them leapfrog Dundee Wanderers and Edinburgh University into 6th place and safety assuming results go our way. Youngster Alan Baxter makes his league debut for the 1s following a run of strong performances after recovering from injury.
Regional League 1
What could have been! Hillhead 2s had the league title within their grasp a few weeks ago but now need a favour from Uddingston if they are going to be crowned Regional League 2 champions. Hillhead go into this weekends match against Kelburne with confidence after dispatching Grange 2s last Sunday. The Hornets fought back from 1-0 down to win 3-1. They will need to show the same spirit and determination to get a result against Kelburne today having lost 6-1 to the Paisley side earlier in the season.
Regional League 2
The 3s look to have secured 4th spot in Regional 2 but will want to finish the season on a high with a win against Rottenrow. The first leg back in November finished 6-2 to Rottenrow so it won’t be an easy game for the boys but a strong performance last week gives hope to this developing team.
West District 2
Hillhead are safe in West 2 in 6th position. However, todays opponents East Kilbride could still leapfrog Helensburgh to win the league so they will be in for a battle.
West District 3
The 6s could make big gains in West 3 with a win over bottom placed Western Wildcats. A win would move the West Enders into 4th position depending on results and could push the Wildcats closer to relegation. The match at Old Anniesland back in November ended 0-0, everyone will be hoping for goals today!
