JUMP START and GREAT NOTION fillies charge to stakes victories at Pimlico!

0

Miss BehaviourThe sun appeared and brightened the day, and so too did the girls by Northview sires, as MISS BEHAVIOUR and OUR EPIPHANY led the way in their respective stakes to score on Black-Eyed Susan Day!

Stepping up first was MISS BEHAVIOUR. The filly from the first Pennsylvania-sired crop by JUMP START was seeking her first win of the year after a spectacular juvenile campaign as graded stakes winner and Pennsylvania-bred champion.

Cal MacWilliam and Neil Teitelbaum’s homebred filly ran a solid third in the Stormy Blues S. in her sophomore debut in April. On one of the biggest stages of the year she ran fantastic in the $100,000 Miss Preakness S. Taking command from the start, the pretty bay blistered through fractions of :22.74 and :46.03 and still had plenty left to hold off eight other fillies. She cruised home by nearly two lengths in 1:10.85 for six furlongs over a drying out track rated good after torrential rains in the morning. Trained by Phil Schoenthal, MISS BEHAVIOUR now has a record of four wins from seven starts, plus a second and a third, for earnings of $312,000.
