The Slovenian Society has awarded the 2026 WAHO Trophy to the talented Fajeed Ibn Majeed for his achievements in racing.

Citation from the Society:

The dam of Fajeed Ibn Majeed, Fatima has established herself as an outstanding broodmare, having produced two exceptional foals prior to Fajeed.

The stallion Fakir Ibn Bukefal, by Bukefal, recorded 8 wins, four second places and two third places in flat racing, becoming the fastest Arabian horse in the Balkans. He also placed third in the EU Harc Championship and was awarded the WAHO Trophy in 2020.

The mare Assad, by Almonito, is a multiple endurance race winner, national endurance champion (2021), and WAHO Trophy recipient (2022).

The talented Fajeed Ibn Majeed made a highly impressive debut as a three-year-old in Slovenia, winning convincingly over 1400 metres against older horses. He confirmed his quality in his second start, winning over 1200 metres in Bihać (BIH), again competing against older horses, thereby establishing himself at regional level. He subsequently finished fifth in Pisa (Italy) over 2000 metres, and in December 2024 achieved a notable second place in a 3-year-old criterium race over 1750 metres, where he finished ahead of the Italian Derby winner. These results represent a significant milestone for Slovenian Arabian horse breeding. In 2025, he continued his successful racing career, recording two victories from four starts. Within just two years, Fajeed Ibn Majeed has become the fastest Arabian horse in the Balkans and a serious contender on the international racing scene. His owner and breeder intends to continue racing him and hopes that he will, in time, also prove to be a successful breeding stallion.
