Russian Camelot 3YO Wins $80,000 Albury Guineas
Young Widden Stud based sire Russian Camelot (IRE) has had plenty of promising 3YO winners over the summer months and one of them is Beyond Question, who scored a facile win in the $80,000 Albury Guineas (1400m) on Friday.
Trained by Patrick Kearney and ridden by Rhys McLeod, Beyond Question won on debut at Great Western at the end of January before finishing third at long odds to Sixties in the Group III VRC CS Hayes Stakes.
He paid the penalty for that good run having to carry 61.5kg in this assignment, but showed his class when powering clear to win by three lengths over the Gary Portelli trained Godolphin 3YO Jaegers.
