Cheltenham day 4 tips
Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase tips (2.40pm)
Panic Attack
Trainer: Dan Skelton | Jockey: Harry Skelton
Panic Attack is my pick as H&H racing editor. The trainer reckons this mare is one of his best chances all week. She’s been unbeaten all season, including in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham racecourse in November over a similar distance, where she skipped gleefully up the Cheltenham hill, proving she has the right attitude as well as the talent to win.
Diva Luna
Trainer: Ben Pauling | Jockey: Ben Jones
Racing journalist Carl Evans says: “A very good hurdler, Diva Luna has looked an even better chaser in two races this season.”
Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle tips (3.20pm)
Thedeviluno
Trainer: Paul Nolan | Jockey: TBC
If you’re watching Cheltenham on TV, you’ll be enjoying Richard Hoiles’ commentary on ITV Racing. He says: “Stamina is the key and that is this horse’s suit whilst also having some pace. His win at Doncaster last time stamped him as a major Festival player and he’s the one to beat.”
Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup tips (4pm)
The Jukebox Man
Trainer: Ben Pauling | Jockey: Ben Jones
Racing journalist Carl Evans says: “Haiti Couleurs has shown an abundance of stamina and won at the Festival last year, but The Jukebox Man can find a touch more speed at the business end.”
Envoi Allen
Trainer: Henry de Bromhead | Jockey: TBC
ITV Racing presenter Alice Plunkett says: “Envoi Allen is 12 years young and a Festival favourite, he’s won here three times and this will be an incredible eighth Festival. He comes alive here, has amazing form around this track and is a great each way bet.”
Princess Royal Challenge Cup Open Hunters’ Chase tips (4.40pm)
Its On The Line
Trainer: Emmet Mullins | Jockey: TBC
Racing journalist Carl Evans says: “It’s On The Line, second in this race for the past three years, is very likely to be involved in the finish once again, but Golden Son and Barton Snow have sporting each-way chances.”
So that’s your Cheltenham day 4 tips all sewn up. Enjoy Gold Cup day! You can relive the whole 2026 Cheltenham Festival and enjoy added insight, interviews and exclusive comment in H&H’s bumper magazine report, in the shops Thursday 19 March.
