Three NCCP Coach Evaluation Opportunities Offered This Spring in Alberta
The Alberta Equestrian Federation (AEF) is pleased to announce three NCCP Instructor and Competition Coach evaluation opportunities taking place this spring for both English and Western disciplines.
As part of AEF’s continued commitment to increasing accessibility and supporting coach development across the province, these evaluation options provide multiple pathways for coaches to achieve NCCP certification.
Whether you prefer an in-person evaluation or require the flexibility of a video submission format, there is an option available to meet your needs.
Calgary In-Person Evaluation
Alborak Stables
April 11–12, 2026
This two-day evaluation event will host NCCP Instructor and Competition Coach candidates.
Candidates are only required to attend one of the two scheduled days.
This option is ideal for coaches located in Southern Alberta or those who prefer live, in-person evaluation.
Edmonton In-Person Evaluation
April 25–26, 2026
AEF will also host an in-person evaluation opportunity in the Edmonton area later in April.
As with the Calgary event, candidates will attend one assigned evaluation day within the two-day schedule.
This offering increases regional accessibility for Northern Alberta coaches.
Online Video Evaluation Intake
Application Deadline: April 10, 2026
For coaches who are unable to attend in person, AEF will also offer an Online Video Evaluation intake for NCCP Instructor and Competition Coach certification.
This flexible format allows candidates to submit required lesson videos and documentation for evaluation remotely, while still meeting NCCP and Equestrian Canada standards.
Supporting Coach Development in Alberta
By offering both in-person and online evaluation pathways, AEF aims to:
- Increase accessibility to NCCP certification
- Reduce geographic barriers for coaches
- Support professional growth within Alberta’s coaching community
- Strengthen the overall standard of coaching in the province
All candidates must ensure they meet the required certification prerequisites prior to evaluation.
