Written By Promising Debut Winner

A half-brother to a pair of stakes-winners in Daisies and Zou Tiger, this three year-old gelding by Written By made a winning debut at Gosford on Wednesday as favourite.

Given a good grounding at the trials by the Waterhouse Bott stable, Written in Wrath was expected to fire first up with Regan Bayliss on board and duly delivered.

Written Wrath was always in contention and forged clear to win by a length and a half.

A $330,000 Inglis Easter purchase from Widden stud for Nine9park, Written in Wrath maintains the perfect strike rate for his dam Tigress Lily, who has had seven foals to race and all are winners.

Group II winner Daisies is the best of her progeny followed by stakes-winner Zou Tiger and two more stakes-placed horses in Motown Lil and Soft Love.

Tigress Lily passed away last year and her final foal born last spring is a colt by Zousain.
