Calgary Set to Host 2025 National Coaching Symposium & Leadership Meetings

Hot on the heels of the Spruce Meadows Masters Tournament, Calgary will once again take the national spotlight as it hosts the 2025 National Coaching Symposium & Leadership Meetings from September 7–12, 2025. The event will be a premier gathering for Canada’s equestrian coaching community.

A Week of Collaboration and Learning

The event opens with Leadership Meetings and Executive Directors’ sessions (September 7–8) at the Courtyard by Marriott Calgary South, where governance leaders, PTSO (Provincial/Territorial Sport Organization) staff, and Equestrian Canada representatives will set the stage for the week ahead.

From September 9–12, the focus shifts to coaching professionals and audit participants with a full schedule at Epic Stables, including:

  • Safe Sport workshops
  • Rookie Riders and Learn-to-Ride/Drive updates
  • Coach development and the Coach Status Road Map (2026–2030)
  • Athlete biomechanics, e-sport physiotherapy, and live performance demonstrations
  • LearnTo Evaluator Clinics

Driven by thought leaders

Esteemed presenters include Master Coach Developers like Ruth Allum, Helen Richardson, and Danielle Yaghdjian, along with experts such as Scott Cieslar (Mad Barn), Mike King (Acera Insurance), Allison Forsyth (Generation Safe) and Sandra Sokoloski (E‑Sport Physiotherapy). These experienced individuals bringing valuable insights to coaching inclusivity, mentorship, sport development, and community engagement.
