Foal Championships Results: Leg 2
The second leg of the Foal Championships and loose jumping qualifier kicked off in the North, in Kernan’s Equestrian on 21st August. The day began at 12pm with Pony Eventing foals.
Helen Troughton’s Silken Rose (ISP), took the win here, sired by Masurenfuerst (TRAK), out of Connemara mare Honeyhill Hazel, by Crusheen Coment (CP).

The next section was the pony showjumping, where Sean Keraney’s Topney Cama De Rossa (ISP), by BP Bon Jovi (PSF), out of Lucretia B V/H Juxschot (BWPRP), by Benneton (BWP) was crowned champion. Topney Cama De Rossa is a half-brother to last year’s pony showjumping final champion Topney Lady T (ISP) by Gilton Des Islots (PSF).

The day moved onto the third section, the horse evening class. Maria Melvin’s traditionally bred colt Glenkeeran Cruise Control (ISH)[TIH] took the win, taking home the eventing and the TIH prize. This colt is sired by KMS Timeless (TB), out of Glenkeeran Sky Cruise Dancer (ISH)[TIH] by Crosstown Dancer (ID).

The Foal Championships concluded with the horse showjumping class, where Irish Sport Horse colt Cornascriebe Nixon (ISH) took the final prize of the qualifier. Cornascriebe Nixon (ISH) is bred by Carol Armstrong, sired by Nixon van’t Meulenhof (BWP), out of Cornascriebe Fortuna (ISH), damsire Numero Uno (KWPN).

All four foals above qualify for the Grand Final in Emerald Equestrian on 2nd October, all spectators welcome!
