Bulcote TREC – come and join in!
Have you entered Bulcote TREC yet? 8th-10th August 2025
Bulcote TREC is an ideal opportunity for you to test your skills and have a go at TREC. Places are filling fast. Over 40 entries received already and there is an upper limit. Avoid the waiting list!
If you have ridden at Level 1 and want to know what it’s like to ride a Level 2 then Bulcote TREC is for you… it is up to distance (20km), but the landscape makes navigation understandable, its flat and there will be no more than 100m of roadwork, the rest is all off road – on farm or grassland tracks. There will be lots of support all the way round so you won’t be out for hours without seeing anyone.
If you ride at Level 2 – why not try Level 2A – the bearings will make sense, and the grids will be accurate and if you’re in the right place – easy to find.
If you’ve done a Level 2A why not challenge yourself and try a Level 3 – the route is not much further than the 2A but will give you a taste of what more tricky navigation may look like without having to expose yourself to somewhere scarily remote. Like Levels 2 and 2A there will be lots of support and you’re never far away from anywhere.
Level 4 will be short and hopefully complex enough to give the more competitive riders the challenges that they enjoy. If you’re interested why not try our Level 4 pairs class – where you can work together with your buddy to unpick the problems and survive the maps. You will however be expected to use different maps and different techniques to navigate your way around the countryside and for good measure you may also have to use bearings and find your grid references.
