The Kazakh Association of Purebred Arabian Horses is proud to present the 2025 WAHO Trophy to the successful race and broodmare Barymta 4.
Citation from the Association:
In 2024, the best horse of the year was recognized as the mare BARYMTA, born in 2003. Barymta was one of the best racehorses in Kazakhstan.
She was born at the Rakhat stud farm, where she underwent race training, then at 2 and 3 years old she raced very successfully at the Almaty hippodrome and won 5 honourable first places out of nine performances, including the Derby.
She continued her fruitful activity at KFH “Ajar”, where she still lives happily.
Barymta gave birth to her first foal in 2009, and in the last days of January of this year, 22-year-old Barymta gave birth to her 14th foal. In total, she gave birth to 11 fillies and 3 colts from 3 high-class producers. Barymta’s father is the French stallion Dura Lex Sed Lex, imported to Kazakhstan in 1998 at the age of 2. He was born from the famous racetrack fighter and one of the best producers in France and Europe – Dorman and the Polish mare Maceth.
Barymta’s mother is the Russian mare Barda out of Djatl (Koheylan line, Belle E Bnn family) and Baydarka (Mansur line, Dziva family).
Barda was a good racer, but she showed herself especially well in national long-distance races.
One of Barymta’s best daughters – BERETTA, gray, born in 2014, became the winner of the second international show exhibition of Arabian horses “KAZEQUI-2017” among mares from one to three years old.
