The German WAHO Trophy, which was awarded as part of the ANC Championships, also went to an athlete in 2023. The 19-year-old gelding CH Silverlight, bred from Polish, Russian and Crabbet lines and owned by Verena Böckle, can look back on an impressive career as a western horse. Not only has he been European Champion of Sport Arabians four times (twice in the Reining and Ranch Riding classes), he has also been highly successful in mixed competition. For example, he was German Youth Team Champion (open breed) and won the NRHA National Championships (Reining) at the age of 16 in competition with Quarter Horses. For his lifetime achievements, he received the Golden Plaque from the EWU in the Reining discipline and the Silver Plaque in the Ranch Riding discipline, and now also – highly deserved – the WAHO Trophy.

At the beginning of January 2024 he went to the evergreen pastures.
