Riding Fundraiser Fall 2023

0 17

The Texas A&M Polo Club is happy to announce that we will be hosting a horseback riding and polo lesson evening on Tuesday October 17th 2023! Lessons will run from 6-9pm at the TAMU Polo Barn– at 3869 F and B Rd, College Station TX 77845– located just five minutes from campus down Harvey Mitchel Parkway!

Designed for riders of all skill levels from total beginner to expert, our lesson program is all-encompassing and designed to let riders get the most out of their 45-minute instruction period. Our team of instructors will work directly with every rider to ensure participants can hone their horse-handling skills while having fun! The Texas A&M Polo Club is committed to developing horsemanship and invite everyone, regardless of horse experience, to come out and give it a try.

There is absolutely no horse experience required to participate! Whether you are looking for a fun activity to get a break from classes or are working on developing your competition seat, the Texas A&M Polo Club has something for everyone!

It will be group lessons, so feel free to sign up with your friends! We will provide horses, tack, and helmets (but you can bring your own helmet if you have one). The only thing we require from you is long pants and closed toed shoes.

You get to pick and choose your level of instruction from the following:

Riding Lesson Options:

Beginner Riding ($45)
{Group only}- Have you ever been on a trail ride as a kid? Have you never touched a horse before? This level encompasses our introductory course to riding “polo style” and is for riders just starting out in their riding journey!

Intermediate Riding ($45)
{Group only}- Do you know how to post a trot, but not canter? Has it been a while since you have rode? This level encompasses riding “polo style.” It is for people who have some experience and know how to trot but not canter!

Advanced Riding ($45)
{Group only}– Do you have equine experience? Have you been missing riding? This level encompasses riders who are ready to canter/lope independently. Riders in this group have opportunities to improve their seat under saddle, lead correction, speed and handling, and more!

ALL riders must have an APPROVED AOR (assumption of risk) form to participate which can be filled out at the link below AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE: sportclubs.tamu.edu/clubs/joinClub.
