Cathal Daniels and Clare Abbott score top 10 finishes as Irish Sport Horses win three medals at Eventing Young Horse World Championships in France

Galway’s Cathal Daniels has guided two horses inside the top 10 in the 7-year-old final at the FEI World Breeding Eventing Championships for Young Horses at Le Lion D’Angers in France today (Sunday). Daniels partnered Galant DHI to a score of 32.1 to finish in eighth, while he also filled 10th place with OLS King Aragon (ISH) (34.3). Christine O’Donnell and Shanagore Jenga (ISH) finished 13th, while Brian Morrison and Global Mentor (ISH) came home in 16th. Aoife Clark and Celus D’Ermac Z also finished inside the top 20 when filling 18th place. Germany’s Ingrid Klimke claimed the gold medal with Asha P on a score of 25.3. The Irish Sport Horse Capels Hollow Drift (ISH) took the silver medal with Britain’s Tom Jackson (27.8), while French rider Astier Nicolas and Babylon De Gamma finished with bronze on 29.4.
