Entries/Fees:
H/J Schooling Day Fee - Ticketed Warm-up: $25 per horse (Friend of Park $20)
* 3 max. in ring at a time - 10 min per horse time limit
Derby Cross Entry Fee: $75 per entry.
Coggins: Current coggins required
Stabling: $50 per stall. Trainers with more than 4 stalls get the 5th stall free.
Shavings: $8.00 per bag - to pre-order call (910) 875-2074
RV Hookup: $35 per night
Scratch Fee: Scratches received prior to the closing date will be refunded, less a $15 office fee
Cancellation: No Refund
Other Information:
- Derby Cross entries close Tuesday prior to competition at 5pm
- Derby Cross post entries accepted only if space warrants
- Check-in at CHP office
- Negative Coggins within 12 months required
- Informal attire is permitted
- Please wear britches and boots in the show ring
- All riders must wear protective helmets when mounted
- Carolina Horse park reserves the right to cancel, delay or postpone competition due to climate, weather
- Ribbons 1-6 / First place prize
- Please keep dogs leashed

Derby Cross Levels Offered:
- Preliminary: 1.10M (3'7")
- Training: 1.00M (3'3")
- Novice: 90cm (2'11")
- Beg Novice: 80cm (2'7")
- Maiden: 70cm (2'3")
Derby Cross Courses:
A mix of Show Jumps and Cross Country fences including combinations (at appropriate levels), water complexes, banks, ditches, and mounds. Scoring: A style score between 0-10 will be given by the judge for each fence. 0 = not performed. 10 = excellent. Focus will be on pace, fluidity, synchronization of horse and rider. Faults will be deducted from score as follows - 4 faults for each pole knocked down. 4 faults for a refusal or stop at a Show Jump. 8 faults for a second refusal. Elimination for the third refusal or stop at the same fence. Eliminated riders will be encouraged to complete the course as long as safety is not an issue. Highest score wins.
