Irish Sport Horses claim top spots in young horse classes at Camphire International Horses Trials

The Camphire International Horse Trials took place at Cappoquin in Co. Waterford from Wednesday the 25th to Sunday the 29th of July. The event was a great success with more than 320 entries, from countries including Ireland, the UK, Australia, Hong Kong and Sweden. Horse Sport Ireland and the Irish Horse Gateway were proud sponsors of the young horse classes, and there were some impressive performances in all three competitions. Jodie Amos (GBR) claimed the top prize in the Horse Sport Ireland CICYH1* 6 year old class on her own Carsonstown Do It Tomorrow (ISH). The pair performed an excellent dressage test to lie in 2nd place behind Sarah Ennis (IRL) and Tullabeg Tango (ISH). However, the leading pair lowered a costly rail in the Show Jumping phase which allowed Jodie to take the win after the Cross-country, with a double clear.
