The Southwest Chapter has announced the date for the 2018 Capital Mini Event!  The event will again be located at The Horse First Farm. 

There will be two levels offered this year 

• Starter Novice at 28 " (2 feet 4")
• Beginner Novice at 31" (2 feet 7")

Andi Bill

Andi Bill grew up riding and showing, competing at Pony Finals every year from 1986 through 1995.  She continued her riding career as a junior, always showing and learning. She attended Mount Holyoke College, successfully competing as an intercollegiate equestrian and captaining Mount Holyoke's IHSA team her junior and senior years.  She rode as an alternate on the US Intercollegiate team in Luxembourg and Malmo, Sweden, and was chef d'equipe for the winning American team in 1999. It was at Mount Holyoke that Andi discovered that she enjoyed teaching just as much as she enjoyed riding. 

Andi teaches both hunt seat and dressage, from beginning riders to seasoned competitors. She has experience developing green horses and is dedicated to helping horse and rider pairs reach their goals and achieve success in and out of the show ring. 

Jessica Underwood

Come and learn how to ride your best test while improving your dressage skills, have a better understanding of what a dressage judge is looking for and have some fun!

With over 20 years experience, Jessica is a compassionate rider with strong fundamentals. Having competed successfully through the Intermediate and CCI* level of Three Day Eventing and currently pursuing her ‘L’ judge certification, Jessica knows how to teach both horse and rider how to achieve their goals, with a wealth of competition advice.

She focuses on connecting the horse and rider while building confidence and knowledge through positive experiences and a mindful personalized approach, with the horse's overall well-being always a priority. Jessica has a keen awareness of the rider's confidence and she focuses on strengthening the horse-rider relationship and uses positive reinforcement to help both achieve success. Jessica uses soft and consistent exercises and cues to help riders communicate with the horse, and achieves a positive end result while providing a fun and relaxed learning environment.
