THE UNDISPUTED ERA made a shock appearance at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II to ambush WALTER and his Imperium stable ahead of Worlds Collide.

The Austrian powerhouse had just successfully retained the WWE UK title in the main event clash with Joe Coffey before his celebrations at the Empress Ballroom were gatecrashed.

The 32-year-old is set to face NXT champion Adam Cole at Worlds Collide during Royal Rumble weekend in Texas, but his rival treated him to a surprise visit on these shores.

With help from Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong, the leader of the Undisputed Era laid waste to WALTER and Imperium stablemates Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel.

The finish capped an entertaining show that ushered in WWE’s British brand launch on BT Sport, with Tyler Bate and Jordan Devlin producing an early contender for match of the year.

The inaugural UK Champion tore the roof off the Empress Ballroom with a gruelling win over the Irish Ace that forced him to bring out all the stops.

After a Tyler Driver 97 following a springboard tornado DDT wasn’t enough to earn the three count, Bate finally put Devlin away with a twisting corkscrew splash.

The vocal Blackpool crowd also made headlines with a series of entertaining chants, including one for VAR in the show’s opening bout between Eddie Dennis and Trent Seven.

Calls for video replay were audibly heard after the malevolent Welshman went unpunished by the referee for exposing a turnbuckle ring to send one half of Mustache Mountain headfirst into it.
