Bearing Press?
Well that escalated quickly! A quick look at the wheel bearings after I heard strange noises over on my last Surrey Hills ride turned into all the pivot bearings coming out & found to be fecked! And an axel bolt ruined.
I now have ½ a bike for a while until I can get a new bolt and a replacement bearing kit.
The wheel bearings are fine.
I've never removed or fitted bearings before and even with help today from the fitters at work it was a real palaver!
Sooo! I'm a little worried about messing the new ones up when I replace them but the price of a bearing press to fit all 4 different sizes would be more than getting the LBS to do it for me...
I've seen a few homemade presses... but was wondering what your experiences of home made presses were & have you got any pics of yer own?
