It’s Time to Climb! The PPYCC Hill Climb is here

0 174

The PPYCC Youth Hill Climb is fast approaching and thanks to our new sponsors, we now have plenty of prizes to give out too. Taking place next Saturday (20th September) from 9.30-12.30, it takes place on closed roads at Baze Hill in Rottingdean.

Part of the Le Col South Downs Hill Climb Series it is always well attended with keen competition in all age categories, from E (under 8s) to As (under 16s).

Generous support from SGL Chartered Surveyors and Hunt Bike Wheels has enabled us to offer medals and cash prizes to all podium finishers, plus a little something for every rider taking part.

Top prize, courtesy of Hunt, is a pair of Schwalbe Pro One tyres (worth £150), awarded to the fastest rider up the hill in both the open and girls categories.

Enter via British Cycling, for just £5.

Riders who are aged 12+ will have further opportunities to compete throughout Autumn in the Le Col South Downs Hill Climb Series, which features Steyning Bostal, Ditching Beacon, Firle Bostal and more. However the Rottingdean Hill Climb is the only one that allows U12s to compete and is the only dedicated youth event in the South Downs Hill Climb series. Plus, we have the best prizes!

Please note there will be no toilet facilities at the start or finish, but Atlas Cafe (41 High Street, Rottingdean) is nearby and is open from 8am.

It’s time to climb!
