So I'm a fan of French cranks and I've always liked the "erector set" look of the stronlight 49d and TA cyclo tourist cranks (VO has a nice modern copy of this).
So both the 49d and the TA cyclotourist use a 50.4 bcd outer. Are the outer chainrings interchangeable? Could I use a TA outer on a stronglight crank?
Also I'm a bit confused about the Stronglight 49d chainrings. Classic lightweights UK has a timeline for stronglight cranks and velobase has some good info as well.

Did the Stronglight 49d outer chainring come with mounting holes for either a 122 or 86 bcd inner?
