Commuter Peugeot Project

0 24
Hi everybody. I found what I think is a 1977 Peugeot PN10 frame (**looks like it is a AO8). 62cm in the shade of pug red that recalls the UO8 I owned in my undergrad years and miss very much. I am going to completely disassemble the bike, find some 700c wheels to replace the heavy steel ones, and make it into my commuter and general bash around bicycle. I shall be building a 40h wheel for my 1953 Sturmey FW four speed hub and shifter and will put the kibosh on the plastic Simplex crap (my UO8 derailer broke at speed, tumbled into the spokes, and ruined my weekend). Should I keep this stem? Is it the "bad" one? What are your thoughts? Anybody done an IGH modification to one of these frames? I'd appreciate your stories. Thanks for looking.
