Tour de France gets underway in rain-swept Copenhagen
Tens of thousands of fans were on hand as cycling's 21-day Tour de France started in Copenhagen on Friday when the first rider Jeremy Lecroq set off around the 13.2km individual time-trial. The 176 riders will hit speeds of up to 60kph on rain-slick roads as they ride past sights including the Little Mermaid statue, the harbour-front Blox building and the Amalienborg palace.
