Build Quality of Miyata Taiwanese Made Bikes

Hello, Miyatas' early 90's offerings began to be made in Taiwan from what I gather, rather than previously made in Japan. Did the baton get properly passed along in terms of continuance of build & assembly quality in their frames? I would imagine there was a production quality learning curve in the Taiwanese factories but one would think that a bicycle factory would have good grasp of what and what not to do.
