Saris Bones vs. Trek Madone

I to a Trek Madone SLR 6 home for a test ride the other day, and it didn't fit very securely on my Saris Bones 2 bike rack. The Saris Bones apparently wasn't designed for aero bikes. Since my Madone SLR 7 is on order, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on getting the Saris Bones 2 to work better or an alternative bike rack that works well in securing an aero bike. The main issue is the loop that secures the seat bar. It's almost too small and awkward to tighten securely.
