Repair Shimano inline barrel adjuster?

I think I over-turned my Ultegra inline barrel adjuster for the front derailleur. It seems to now spin with no effect.

Is there any way to fix this? Or do I need to replace?

I assume replacement involves removing the cable from the housing, popping in the replacement barrel adjuster and the re-setting up the derailleur...no?
