Shimano down tube shifter question and Epic Allez

Ok so I got my new Shimano Tri Color down tube shifters in the mail today and to my surprise they do not fit because the down tube bosses on my Epic have this flat plate and the down tube boss vs the more conventional setup. What part do I need ?
