SA Dynohub - Cleaning the magnet and armature

I'm in the middle of disassembly of the AG hub. Since you are not supposed to separate the magnet and armature, is there any recommended steps to clean them - should I spray some wd-40 in there? Soak it in something, or just leave it alone? I know that it produces current.
