How straight should skewers be, linearity?

I received a new pair of steel skewers for my wheels, but they're not exactly straight. How much tolerance in linearity is acceptable?
They came in a bubble mailer, so there isn't any protection against impact from heavy packages. But the amount of deformity is quite small, so I'm wondering if...
