Picked up a clicking in the headset?

2016 Specialized Stump Jumper Elite 650B. Maybe 500 Miles on it. MAYBE.
I have picked up a strange inconsistent but constant clicking in the headset or in the forward 1/3 of the bike, I think? Tried loosening the top cap bolt; didnt work. Tried tightening the top cap bolt some more; didn't work....
