Different Size Down Tube Shifter Braze On Bosses?

I was hoping to swap a pair of beautiful and super light Suntour Cyclone braze on downtube shifters from an 80's Motobecane Jubilee Sport with a damaged fork to a Centurion Cinelli Equipe but the bosses on the Motobecane are smaller than the bosses on the Cinelli! Yet another bicycle industry...
