Road bike clothing suppliers sizing

I recently purchased two cycling jackets from an online supplier. One from Pearl Izumi and the other Mavic. I'm 5'11.5" 170lbs and bought size Large in both. The Izumi was snug but fit while the Mavic was uncomfortably small; I plan to return it.
