The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics may not get its official start until the grand Opening Ceremony on Friday, but the keen beans of the curling world are getting started a few days early, with matches scheduled to take place every single day of the games. To see how to watch Olympic curling, our guide below has all the information you'll need.
With the gold medals four years ago shared out between Great Britain, Italy, and Sweden, you can expect a similarly hard-to-call tournament this time around. Scotland and Sweden are the dominant forces on the world stage, and the men's event seems set to be a two-horse race between Team GB and the Scandinavians as legendary skips Bruce Mouat and Niklas Edin go head-to-head. Those countries were the last two Olympic champions in the women's discipline, too, but both have dropped out of the upper echelons of the Curling World Rankings, meaning that the likes of Switzerland, Canada, and Korea could all be poised to upset the applecart.
The mixed doubles has only run twice before, with Canada and Italy the two gold-winning nations. Just don't expect Norway or the USA to be too far away from contention when that competition reaches its business end, along with those familiar faces from Sweden and Great Britain.
Taking place at the Cortina Olympic Stadium, it's the kind of sport that casual sports fans only find themselves watching every four years. With daily action to enjoy, there'll be plenty of opportunities to watch Olympic curling in 2026, so follow our guide below for details on how to watch coverage in your country. You'll also find information on free and global streams, and how to tune in from anywhere.

How to watch Olympic Curling in the US
For the most comprehensive coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics available, you'll need access to Peacock, NBC's own streaming platform. With a Premium subscription (from $11 a month or $110 a year), you'll be able to watch all curling matches and every single event of the games, and much of the action is available in 4K HDR.
In terms of TV coverage, the curling action will be split across USA Network and CNBC. If you have those channels on cable already, then you're good. If not, and you like the idea of a comprehensive cable alternative, then DirecTV would make an excellent choice. It features both stations on all of its standard streaming packages, as well as its dedicated MySports plan that costs $70 a month. And if you haven't been a DirecTV customer in the past you can see what it's all about with a five-day free trial.
Sling TV is a more affordable option. USA Network is included in its Sling Blue plan, which features more than 40 channels and costs from $46 a month. If you want CNBC as well, you'll then need to add Sling's News Extra add-on for an additional $6 a month. Sling Blue also carries NBC in select regions.
How to watch Olympic Curling in the UK
The free-to-air BBC has free daily coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics, both on TV (through BBC One and Two) and online, thanks to the BBC website and its BBC iPlayer streaming service. As long as you have a valid TV Licence, you can watch all the live action absolutely free of charge.
However, the BBC no longer has wall-to-wall Olympics coverage and is only likely to show curling that either involves Team GB or that features medal matches. If you're a big curling fan who wants to see more than that, you'll need access to the Discovery Plus streaming platform. Prices start from as little as £4 a month, with the Discovery Plus Entertainment plan offering those Milano Cortina 2026 feeds.
How to watch Olympic Curling in Canada
Watching the 2026 Winter Olympics in Canada is very straightforward and, thankfully, absolutely free. CBC is offering 22 hours of live coverage every day from Milano-Cortina, and you can watch every event live and on demand exclusively at CBC Gem. That, of course, includes the curling, where Canada has medal hopes in all three events (men's, women's, and mixed doubles).
How to watch Olympic Curling in Australia
The situation in Australia is similar to that of the UK above. You'll be able to catch significant curling matchups and other key events from Milano-Cortina for free thanks to the 9Now streaming platform. But, to ensure you don't miss a single minute of the games, you'll need a Stan Sport subscription. It usually costs $20 a month on top of a base Stan plan for $12 (that's $32 a month in total). Right now, however, there's a limited-time discount that brings your first month of Stan Sport down to $10.
How to watch Olympic Curling from anywhere
As we've explained above, there will be free curling coverage in a number of countries around the world. But that's only of any use to you if you're located in your home country when it's on. Try to watch from overseas, and you'll soon discover that your stream is geo-blocked. Fortunately, there's a clever tool called a VPN (Virtual Private Network) you can download that will let you watch your Winter Olympics stream wherever in the world you are.
NordVPN is the best around. It offers lightning-fast connection speeds, vast unlocking prowess, and is extremely easy to use (you can read more about its pros and cons in our dedicated NordVPN review). It's reasonably priced, too, and you can give it a try risk-free thanks to NordVPN's 30-day money-back guarantee. So there's really nothing to lose.
Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.
