Curling for the Community raises over $22K

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The United Way's Curling for the Community fundraiser was held Friday in Schenectady and raised more than $22,000. Curling is an Olympic sport that involves sliding stones over ice into winning positions.

With teams from several local companies and organizations, players raised money for the United Way's network of non-profit partners. Since it started in 2019, the event has raised more than $75,000.

Companies and organizations that participated in this year’s event include E/One, Bank of America, Casella Waste Systems, CDTA, Momentive, Siewert Equipment, Courtyard by Marriott Schenectady at Mohawk Harbor, Munter Enterprises, Mutual of America, National Grid, Berkshire Bank, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area, Enterprise, Marcia Cognetta and Friends, The Blake Annex, and United Way.
