California curling and training facility to open in Spring 2018.
OAKLAND, CA September 26, 2017 — The San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club (SFBACC) is thrilled to announce plans to build California's only dedicated curling facility, to be located in Oakland. The ice center will open in Spring 2018, supporting the winter sport’s growing popularity in the western U.S.
The nonprofit sports organization has entered into a lease agreement at 8450 Enterprise Way in Oakland, CA. The dedicated facility will support SFBACC’s continued growth, and allow the club to offer expanded programming to coach and develop new curlers interested in the sport, including youth programs, wheelchair curling, and competitive play at all levels.
