Magnus Carlsen is World Rapid and Blitz Champion 2025
Magnus Carlsen has just become World Blitz Champion 2025! Congratulations! The final match saw Carlsen and Abdusattorov go head to head. Abdusattorov took the early lead, but Carlsen returned the point from a completely drawn position in game 2. Game 3 was peaceful, but in game 4 Carlsen squeezed water from stone and won the World Blitz title.
This is a double title for Magnus Carlsen, as he also won the rapid title. Carlsen started the final day of the World Rapid at shared third position.
