Magnus Carlsen emerged as the Winner of the FIDE World Blitz Chess Championship 2022 leaving Almaty with the triple crown as World Champion in Classical, Rapid, and Blitz chess!
Magnus Carlsen scored 16/21 in the Open section and finished clear first, a full point ahead of Hikaru Nakamura and Haik Martirosyan who tied for silver. Tiebreak criteria favored Nakamura who finished second and Martirosyan won bronze.
