Glorney Festival 2022 Report after 3 rounds!

Apologies for late posts, but the information is sparse to say the least! I have been on the official Glorney site and all of the competing national body’s websites but apart from Scotland, nothing! Anyway here is what I know so far!
The Glorney Gilbert International is a team(s) event that has been running continuously since 1949.
Scotland’s elite junior players take on teams from England, Wales & Ireland. The Glorney will take place from 18th-21st July and will be run as a hybrid event (Played online at a pre-set destination for each home nation, but with arbiter’s on site to make sure fair-play policies are observed!).
PLAYING SCHEDULE
Round 1 – 19/07/22 – 10:30 hrs
Round 2 – 19/07/22 – 16:30 hrs
Round 3 – 20/07/22 – 10:30 hrs
Round 4 – 20/07/22 – 16:30 hrs
Round 5 – 21/07/22 – 10:30 hrs
Round 6 – 21/07/22 – 16:30 hrs
This years organising body is the Welsh Chess Federation (Union?) and the following locations are in use:
Cardiff – Wales; Daventry – England; Glasgow – Scotland & Stillorgan – Ireland.
This is a team round-robin; Time-control: 90 minutes + 30 seconds increments from move 1.
GLORNEY CUP – U 18`s – 5 boards
After two rounds, Scotland sits on 1 point. Their first match was against a very strong England side losing 4½ – ½. England who are favourites, were just too strong! Scotland bounced back in round two in a close match against Ireland winning 3-2! Ireland had beaten Wales in round 1, so this was an important win for Scotland!
In round three today at 10:30am (Wed 20th July), Scotland drew 2½ – 2½ with Wales! This means Scotland are in third place at the moment.
GILBERT – Girls U 18`s – 3 boards
Just like the Glorney, England A were just too strong for Scotland and lost 3 – 0. But like our Glorney team mates, Scotland bounced back to beat Ireland 2½ – ½! This puts Scotland on 1 point.
In round three today at 10:30am (Wed 20th July), Scotland took on England B but they were just too strong again and Scotland lost 2½ – ̕½! This puts Scotland in third place at the moment.
ROBINSON – U 14`s boards – (Rishi`s team)
Once again Scotland faced the very strong favourites, England and lost 4½ – 1½. It was tough going with Rishi Vijayakumar J10 leading the way on board one against a 1914. He lost but it was a valiant effort by Rishi!
Round two saw Scotland up against a very strong Ireland side and unfortunately they lost by the same score line of 4½ – 1½. Rishi again was on board one and this time managed to draw his match against an 1884!
Round 3 saw Scotland play Wales and this time they managed to win their match in convincing style 4½ – 1½! Rishi won his game on top board, he sits on: win 1; drawn 2; lost 1; so far.
This puts them on 1 point and in what seems the norm, Scotland are in third place!
STOKES – U 12`s 6 boards
It would seem Scotland are the slight favourites in this event and boy did they start well with a 4 – 2 win against England! What a start! In round two they faced Ireland and convincingly won 4½ – 1½ to sit on the full 2 points and top of the table! Well done everyone!
Round 3 saw Scotland take on Wales and boy they carried on where they left off against Ireland, as Scotland ran out 4 – 2 winners against the welsh! This puts Scotland on the full 3 points and they sit top of the table with England in 2nd place on 2 points!
The 4th round matches started at 16:30pm today (20/07/22)! Come on Scotland!
