Nakamura predicted the outcome of the FIDE Candidates way before it started

Hikaru Nakamura predicted the outcome of the FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 way before it started in Madrid. The chess statisticians and top grandmasters saw Alireza Firouzja and Ding Liren as the main favorites to win the event, and a chess legend Garry Kasparov added Jan-Krzysztof Duda on the list of the favorites. A month ago, during the Chess.com Rapid Chess Championship, Hikaru said that the favorites are Fabiano Caruana and Ian Nepomniachtchi: “I think the objective favorites are based on past experience. Players who’ve been in that situation before and performed. I said it before – the clear favorite is Fabiano, and second is most likely Nepo.” (See the video below). And exactly what Hikaru has said in May 2022 happens today at the 2022 FIDE Candidates Tournament in Madrid.
