????Results of the WCPL’s Summer Reading Program

A whopping 1,397,829 minutes were read and logged in Beanstack this past summer. That is more than double the number of logged minutes from the summer of 2020. The number of minutes are the total amount across all age groups (children, teen, and adult) and all six locations of Williamson County Public Library. We are proud of all or our patrons – reaching that million minutes mark was a tremendous success. We also almost doubled the number of registered participants.

Our program this year began June 1 and ended on August 7, 2021.

We started using the online tool Beanstack to track progress, offer challenges, activities, badges, and rewards. Next summer we plan to add a paper logging option in addition to the online version. We will also be opening registration for the 2022 Summer Reading Program on May 19, before summer activities began and focus on making registration a family event rather than just a children’s activity.

Be on the lookout for information on our Winter Reading Program – it begins on December 1, 2021 and will end on February 28, 2022.

Be happy – read a book!
