Upbeat: Free music for creators

0 9

NEWS – As a film professor, I often am asked where students can go for royalty-free music for their various projects.  While I usually tell them to go find someone in the music department to collaborate with, there’s now a faster, easier service to help them.

Upbeat is a website where you can search and find music for your next creative project.  They have various levels of membership, but a free account gives you up to 10 downloads per month and access to 50% of the Upbeat catalog of music.

Users browse for music based on beat, vibe or mood or even theme, such as “cinematic” or “funny.”

When users download a track for use, they are given a unique credit that can be placed in the project’s description which should automatically block any copyright claims.

Check it out here.
