????What’s New in Graphic Novels – November 2020

On the second floor, in Nonfiction, we received some new books this past week, and since this is the location of our Adult (as in not Children or Teen) Graphic Novels, I thought they might need just a little advertising:

All of these are in 741.59XX call numbers – the adult graphic novels have their own physical location.

The Way of the Househusband, 1 through 4 (I know, 4 isn’t in the photo) are the first parts of a series of Japanese manga written and illustrated by Kousuke Oono and published in the online manga magazine Kurage Bunch since 2018. The Way of the Househusband follows an ex-yakuza (organized crime) boss, retiring from crime to become a househusband. The series was adapted into a live-action television drama by Nippon TV in 2020, and will be adapted into a Netflix original net animation (ONA) anime series with a 2021 premiere.

Undiscovered Country Volume one; Destiny, written by Scott Snyder and Charles Soule In the first issue of this series, readers will journey into an unknown region that was once the United States of America–a mysterious land that has been literally walled off from the rest of the world for well over a century. As the wall is breached to explore what remains of the U.S., the teams on the journeys each seek their own form of truth — provided by publisher.

Then, wait for confirmation from Circulation and pick up your holds between 8:30 am and 10 am Monday through Saturday for minimal contact; or you can come into the 10 am and 7 pm Monday through Thursday, 10 am through 5:30 pm Friday and Saturday, or 1 pm through 5:30 pm on Sunday to retrieve your holds from Circulation.
