CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2020-21 – ONLINE -Entries now being taken!
As you all know by now, due to government guidelines we cannot meet as a chess club on Thursday at the Chaplaincy. But we have no intention of lying still or stagnating as a chess club.
Castlehill Chess Club Dundee will be running “ONLINE” until the guidelines change! We will hold most, but not all of our normal internal competitions online and a calendar of events will appear on our website ASAP for season 2020-21.
Your support of these online club events will be most appreciated by me. I realise online chess does not appeal to everyone, but it`s better than nothing at all!
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2020-21 – ONLINE
I am now asking for entries for this season (2020-21) Club Championship. This will be a 5 round Swiss played. Played on a set date/night (You can re-arrange as normal if not suitable). Our club night for internal competitions will be Monday`s.
Time-control – 60 minutes + 30 seconds increments.

Round 1: Mon 23rd Nov 20
Round 2: Mon 14th Dec 20
Round 3: Mon 11th Jan 21
Round 4: Mon 15th Feb 21
Round 5: Mon 12 April 21
Closing date for entries to be in is: Sun 1st Nov 20.

For season 2020-21 Membership of Castlehill Chess Club Dundee is “FREE”. We wished to give current members something back due to Covid disrupting 2019-20 season, and at the same time while online, try and encourage new members to join our chess family. Once they get to know us they may wish to stay and join us OTB when we open again! If you know someone who is interested in chess but has not yet taken that step, then give them the push they need and try us out!
