Entries have closed for the Team Blitz, taking place Sunday 1 July at Ilford CC, starting at 10:00 am. Nine teams means one team has a Bye each round; they might need it as the line-up is packed with strong teams - as much as half the field has a chance to win! Pairings for the first round can be found HERE which gives you a taste of things to come. Results will be posted live round-by-round throughout the morning. In the afternoon, R1 starting at 2:30 pm, also at Ilford CC, we have the Lightning Championship, chess played to a 10 second buzzer. Entries are being accepted on the day, or you can email tournaments EP_AT essexchess EP_DOT org EP_DOT uk to register in advance. Pay cash on the day.
