Mark Wahlberg Says Popular Comedian Couldn't Keep up With His Workout Challenge
In addition to his career as a Hollywood superstar, 54-year-old Mark Wahlberg has earned a reputation for being among the most physically fit individuals in the entertainment industry.
The Ted actor recently spoke with TMZ, revealing which star was unable to handle the rigors of his well-known 4 AM Challenge Club, which he documents on his YouTube channel.

“Druski, he really didn’t do much,” Wahlberg said of the social media star. “Every time I turn around, I hear 9, 10, I turn around. He’s just sitting there looking at his phone.”
Wahlberg previously mentioned in the video that fitness enthusiasts should focus on what they are actually "capable of doing." He additionally shared that his daily routine begins at 2:30 a.m., a schedule that requires him to be in bed by 6:30 p.m.
“I got eight hours of sleep, I feel fresh and ready to go,” he said.
When discussing the types of stars capable of keeping up with his demanding early morning training, the Wahlburgers founder noted that it is often those who appear "most unassuming" who succeed in fitness.
“You see all the people trying out to be Navy Seals? It’s usually not the people who are big and fit. It’s usually the people that are most unassuming, that have the most heart, that can go the deepest, and have the most gears.”
What Does Mark Wahlberg Do to Stay in Shape?
A 2025 Instagram post features Wahlberg performing a variety of movements, such as decline and cable crunches, cable torso rotations, chest flys, and incline dumbbell bench presses.

In 2024, he said that “breakfast is at 3:45 a.m., by 4 I’m training, 5 a.m. is prayers, and I’m golfing at 6.” Wahlberg also gave his daily schedule on Instagram during that time, which included things like a 1:00 p.m. lunch, a 3:30 p.m. snack, and a second workout at 4:00 p.m.
Furthermore, in 2019, the Pain & Gain star identified several factors that contribute to his peak performance, including maintaining a "fighting shape" and utilizing "clean fuel."
“My workouts start with RAMP, which stands for range of motion, activation, and movement prep—things like Spiderman stretch and hip bridges, plus foam rolling,” Wahlberg said of his workouts during that time. “Then we switch between bilateral and unilateral strength moves using mostly heavy bands, TRX, dumbbells, and kettlebells. The lower body work includes balance and agility drills.”“I used to be the type of guy who ate a whole rotisserie chicken for lunch,” he continued. “Chef Lawrence Duran changed that. The menu is mostlyketogenic—fresh greens, clean protein, healthy fats—avocado, almonds, olive oil. I use Performance Inspired supplements (the line I co-founded) to help bulk up when I need to. And most days I’ll have a bar, or a recovery shake, which includes BCAAs. If it was a heavy-lifting day, I’ll have an extra scoop of protein powder.”
