'Mutiny' Trailer Debut: Jason Statham Goes Full 'Die Hard' on a Boat
Ahead of The Beekeeper 2 in 2027, Jason Statham has another action thriller coming much sooner than you think. On August 21, the new film Mutiny will hit theaters, and the first full-length trailer for the film has just dropped.
Here's the Mutiny trailer, plus details on the plot and the cast of this explosive Statham action flick.
Mutiny Trailer and Plot
As the trailer reveals, in Mutiny, Statham plays a cop who goes off the grid and ends up on a ship in the middle of the sea. Why is Staham on a boat? To stop human traffickers, and as such, the entire plot looks like Die Hard on a boat. We see Statham going ham on various thugs on the boat, and declaring that the whole reason he's there is for "vengeance." The movie's tagline is "Turn the Tide," but there is at least one scene of Statham driving a car, so, you know, the entire movie won't be on a boat, just most of it.
Mutiny is expected to have a runtime of 95 minutes, which makes it sound like it will be on par with other great, tightly-focused Jason Statham movies. The film is directed by Jean-François Richet, who also directed 2023's Plane.
