Peter Dinklage Joins FX Sci-Fi Series for Its Second Season
Emmy-winning actor Peter Dinklage has his next project lined up. The Game of Thronesstar will step into the world of Alien: Earth for Season 2. He'll be a series regular on the sci-fi/horror show created by Fargo's Noah Hawley. Per Deadline, FX is remaining tight-lipped on details about Dinklage's character and the sophomore season as a whole.
Inspired by Ridley Scott's Alien, Alien: Earth Season 1 debuted on FX and Hulu on Aug. 12, 2025, with eight episodes. Here's a synopsis:
"In the year 2120, the Earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold. Cyborgs and synthetics exist alongside humans, but the game is changed when the Prodigy Corporation unlocks hybrids. The first hybrid prototype, named Wendy, marks a new dawn in the race for immortality. After Weyland-Yutani's spaceship collides into Prodigy City, Wendy and the other hybrids encounter mysterious life forms, which are more terrifying than anyone could have ever imagined."
The show stars Sydney Chandler as Wendy, Alex Lawther as Joe Hermit, Essie Davis as Dame Sylvia, Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier, Babou Ceesay as Morrow, David Rysdahl as Arthur Sylvia, Adrian Edmondson as Atom Eins, Adarsh Gourav as Slightly, Jonathan Ajayi as Smee, Erana James as Curly, Lily Newmark as Nibs, Diêm Camille as Siberian, Moe Bar-El as Rashidi, and Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh. Hawley serves as series creator, showrunner, and executive producer. Hawley also directed multiple episodes of Season 1 alongside Dana Gonzales and Ugla Hauksdóttir.
Dinklage is no stranger to FX. He had a recurring role on the Ryan Murphy drama Nip/Tuck and recently guest-starred in an episode of the Ethan Hawke-led comedy-drama The Lowdown. He also starred in Season 1 of Dexter: Resurrection last year and can be seen next in Macon Blair's Idiots opposite O'Shea Jackson Jr. and Dave Franco when the film hits theaters on Aug. 28.
Production for Alien: Earth Season 2 will begin in May at London's Pinewood Studios, where Alien, Prometheus, and Alien 3 were filmed.
