Ford Recall 2026: 422,000 Super Duty, Expedition, and Navigator Vehicles Facing Wiper Failure

0 0

The Ford Motor Company is recalling 422,613 of its vehicles produced between 2021 and 2022, due to faulty wiper blades. According to the recall document, the wiper arms were improperly installed, which could potentially lead to major issues.

"A windshield wiper arm may operate erratically, become inoperable, and or detach from the vehicle," says the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the recall document.

The vehicles affected include Lincoln Navigators and Ford Expeditions from the 2021 to the 2023 model years, and the Ford Super Duty from the 2022 to 2023 model years. While the recall has been issued for over 422,000 cars, it is estimated that around three percent of the vehicles have the defect.

This recall is indicative of a larger supplier issue, as Ford recently issued similar recalls. Earlier this month, Ford recalled over 600,000 vehicles for an identical wiper malfunction. The affected models in the previous recall were the Ford Explorer and Escape, and the Lincoln Aviator and Corsair.

Ford is not aware of any accidents, injuries, or fatalities related to this recall. The company is offering to replace wiper blades on all affected vehicles. To check if your car is affected by this recall or any other recalls, you can visit the NHTSA website. Enter your car's VIN or license plate number to check for any active recalls.
